Biography

Adv. Sagiv Hanin specializes in advising some of the largest projects and ventures in Israel, providing legal counsel regarding various aspects related to the planning, licensing, construction and expropriation stages. In addition, he regularly advises on large scale commerce, office, hotel and residential projects, as well as infrastructure, energy, server farm and transportation projects.

Sagiv advises clients from the initial statutory stages until its final completion. He specializes in representing landowners vis-à-vis planning councils and courts throughout the advancement of statutory plans and licensing.

Sagiv is regularly ranked as one of Israel’s top attorneys in the planning, construction and zoning fields by local and international guides.

Sagiv represents companies in dozens of infrastructure projects from their initial stages, including development and approval of plans, expropriation and construction stages. He serves as legal counsel in expropriation proceedings required for the completion of the projects, and represents corporations in all related legal proceedings and contracts with right holders. Among others, Sagiv represents clients in contracts with national infrastructure entities in relation to moving and consolidating infrastructure systems.

Sagiv was an active partner in the legislative process of a major reform in the natural gas field, including the Arrangements Law and related secondary legislation. He advises energy ventures, including some of Israel’s largest power plants and natural gas distribution companies, regarding the statutory and legal aspects of the reform, including drafting plans according to the Natural Gas Law and various licensing proceedings.

In addition, Sagiv possesses extensive experience in advising large scale national transportation projects in Israel, and is an expert in complex and innovative legal matters related to the field.

Sagiv represents his clients in large scale claims of diminished value before local councils and appellate councils across Israel, as well as in compensation claims related to expropriation. He represents his clients before all courts of law, as well as planning and construction authorities, in various legal proceedings regarding master plans, construction licensing, development levies, and in civil and criminal proceedings relating to planning and construction proceedings.

Among Sagiv’s clients are developers, private and public companies, real estate corporations and government infrastructure entities. Alongside his professional activities, he serves as a guest lecturer on his fields of expertise in several institutions, including the Afeka Tel Aviv Academic College of Engineering, the Israel Bar Association and the Real Estate Appraisers Association.
