Ofer Ravid

Biography

Adv. Ofer Ravid is one of Israel’s most respected attorneys in the Labor Law field. His practice focuses on the interplay between Israeli labor and corporate laws, particularly with regard to corporate transactions. In this regard, Ofer’s comprehensive legal support of clients includes drafting agreements and providing legal opinions relating to the full cycle of employer-employee relations: from the hiring and compensation of employees, to organizational restructuring and corporate downsizing; and from changes in employment terms and conditions, to employee dismissal. He also advises clients on the interaction between labor law and employee relocation.

Ofer provides guidance, both tactical and strategic, to corporate clients in addressing complex issues in the intersection between labor and corporate laws, such as those arising from merger and acquisition transactions, public offerings, and corporate due diligence. He actively represents clients in Israel’s civil courts, labor tribunals, and arbitration proceedings; and appears before government agencies on behalf of clients on matters of labor relations.

As a labor law focal point for the firm’s wide-ranging clientele, Ofer provides services to leading hi-tech corporations, as well as companies in traditional business sectors and private individuals.

Ofer provides workshops and training to clients on a variety of subjects such as sexual harassment, employee recruitment, and more, and serves as an external auditor in sexual harassment and work abuse complaints . He also lectures on emerging labor law topics at a wide variety of academic and professional forums, including the Israel Bar Association, the Legal Advisers Forum, the CFO Forum and others.

Ofer authored the chapter on Israeli Labor Law for the American Bar Association (ABA), and regularly publishes articles in the professional media.

Ofer is a member of the International Labor Law Association, and provides pro bono services to non-profit entities.
