Biography

Adv. Dr. Daphna Kapeliuk specializes in international arbitration and complex international litigation and has a significant reputation in these fields. She represents local and foreign clients in arbitration proceedings conducted according to the rules of various international arbitral institutions. In 2024, she was appointed as a member of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) for the years 2024-2027.
As the only academic researcher in Israel specializing in local and international arbitration law for over two decades, her academic publications are frequently cited by the Supreme Court, the District Courts, and the Magistrate Courts. She provides expert opinions on various issues related to arbitration law in Israel and has been invited to the Constitution, Law, and Justice Committee of the Israeli Parliament to discuss amendments to the Arbitration Law and the enactment of the International Commercial Arbitration Law.
Dr. Kapeliuk’s additional expertise is in private international law and complex cross-border disputes. She represents foreign clients in Israeli courts, including in issues related to jurisdiction and the enforcement of foreign judgments and arbitration awards.
For years, Dr. Kapeliuk has been recognized by international ranking guides such as Legal500, and has been described, among other things, as someone who “thinks outside the box and uses her wide academic knowledge to assist the clients.”
