In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of M&A transactions, which peaked in 2021. The various types of M&As have many tax aspects, varying according to the circumstances of each transaction. Among others, when acquiring a company or activity, tax considerations change when they are examined from the perspective of the buyer or from the perspective of the seller.
In this webinar, the first of a series of two sessions, we will discuss the various tax considerations in M&As, and focus on presenting them from the perspective of each party to the transaction – the buyer and the seller. In this capacity, we will discuss unique issues that are affected by the identity of the parties, the asset history and business activity of the target company and the various ways to balance the interests of each party in the transaction, which in tax aspects may sometimes be conflicting.
