Adv. Zohar served as Chairman of Goldfarb Seligman until his passing in January 2020, and was regarded as one of Israel’s most respected litigators.
Adv. Zohar provided legal consulting in the litigation and ‘white collar’ fields to Israel’s most prominent businesspeople, public sector executives, high ranking officers in sensitive and significant military trials and to medical professionals on various matters relating to their line of work, including in the framework of criminal proceedings, disciplinary proceedings and commissions of inquiry. Among others, Adv. Zohar represented Israel’s former Prime Minister, Mr. Ehud Olmert, as well as Israel’s former General Commissioner of Police, Mr. Moshe Karadi, and others.
In addition, Adv. Zohar represented numerous public authorities, including the Israeli Ports Authority, the Government Companies Authority, the Higher Education Council and Israel Military Industries Ltd. Adv. Zohar served as the legal counsel of numerous leading Israeli companies and specialized in complex administrative issues relating to public law.
In his public activity, Adv. Zohar focused on the world of culture and arts. In the 1990s he headed the theater section at the Culture and Arts Council for nine years, during which he served as Chairman of the ‘Acre (Akko) Festival’ for three years. Until 2005, Adv. Zohar served as First Chairman of the Israeli Film Council for the advancement of domestic film productions, and continued to serve as Chairman of the ‘Gesher’ theatre until his passing.
